Recently, I placed an order for my first gong. Since I began offering sound baths, it has been a sound that I have wanted to offer. I’m very excited to be on this part of my journey where buying it feels like the perfect time.
Weighing in at 26 pounds and handcrafted in China, I am excited to add this piece to my sound bath instruments. My excited anticipation of its arrival and the healing effects it will provide feels a lot like waiting for Christmas.
Also, recently, I agreed to a speaking engagement for around 30 people. While I do not mind speaking to groups of people, when I decided to it, I did notice I felt anxious, an uneasy anticipation. I took a moment with it and reminded myself how successful stepping through my fears has been.
Excited vs Uneasy Anticipation
Anxiety comes when we anticipate an outcome we are uncertain of (and it strengthens with restrictive narratives).
It wasn’t lost on me that both these feelings, excited and uneasy anticipation, occurred in the same week.
To me, this wasn’t about manifesting how great the speaking engagement would be. It was to show me how to put confidence and trust into everything I encounter.
I know in my heart this gong is going to be a great addition. I know it. I’m excited. I’m grateful.
So, why did I hesitate with the speaking engagement?
I hesitated in my confidence in the universe to have my back. I forgot to be grateful for the opportunity that did not happen by chance but by divine design. For a moment, I saw myself standing alone in front of a group of people, but I won’t be alone.
It’s time to meet every moment and every experience with gratitude and excited anticipation, with the confidence that the Universe, God, our angels, guides, etc, are on our side.
If you’re feeling more unease than excitement, not only can you manifest the best outcome, you can remember how powerful your spiritual team is and trust they are helping you.
We are not designed to fail. We are designed to approach each opportunity knowing it will be successful.
If you are looking at a future moment like it won’t have a favorable outcome, then you may need to go back and evaluate it from a place of gratitude, confidence, and excitement.
The practice:
- Write what you are anticipating on a piece of paper.
- Then, write why you feel unease about this moment.
- Rewrite each one with confidence
